Where your plugins live now

Signal, HDRI Link, Light Kit Pro, and the rest of your Greyscalegorilla plugins now live on Cargo's Tool page.

Before You Start

Note: This applies to Greyscalegorilla subscribers who installed plugins through the Hub for Cinema 4D.

Same plugins, one new home

You know Signal, HDRI Link, Light Kit Pro, and the rest of the lineup as plugins you installed through the Hub. In Cargo, they live together on the Tool page, in the desktop app's sidebar nav.

For the full install walkthrough, including which Cinema 4D versions and renderers each tool supports, see How to Install Tools Through Cargo.

If your Hub setup is working and you're not installing anything new, there's nothing you need to do.

Your plugins keep right on working. You'd only need to touch anything if you want to add or update a plugin through Cargo - and if that's the case, How to Remove the Hub Folder walks you through the one step that lets Cargo take over licensing for anything you install from here on.

If you're on a Greyscalegorilla Team subscription

A Greyscalegorilla Team subscription can't install through the Tool page yet. That's true whether you're an admin or a member - everyone on a Greyscalegorilla team subscription currently sees the catalog as Upgrade to Access.

Stay on the Hub for your plugins for now. If you have questions about your team's access, reach out to support.

Keeping your plugin licenses active

Once you're installing through Cargo, keep Cargo open while you're working in Cinema 4D, that's what keeps your plugin licenses active.

See How to Install Tools Through Cargo for the full walkthrough.

Troubleshooting

I don't see one of my old plugins on the Tool page.

Reach out to support and let us know which one you're looking for, and we'll check on it. [VERIFY: whether every Hub plugin has a Tool page equivalent today — not established, so no reason is offered here]

I have a KitBash3D Library subscription. Can I use tools?

You can browse everything on the Tool page. To install, you'd need an individual Greyscalegorilla or Everything Bundle subscription each tool card shows an Upgrade to Access option if you're ready to move up. Greyscalegorilla team subscriptions are the exception noted above.

I'm not sure if something I installed is a "Tool" or a "plugin."

Same thing, different word. Tools is the name for the page in Cargo where your Greyscalegorilla plugins and scripts now live.

Still running into trouble? Reach out to support and we'll get it sorted.
