How to Install and Dock Greyscalegorilla Workflow Scripts in Cinema 4D

Installing Greyscalegorilla Workflow Scripts is quick and easy using Greyscalegorilla Hub inside Cinema 4D. Follow these steps to install and dock them for easy access.

1. Install the Scripts via Greyscalegorilla Hub

Ensure You Have the Latest Version of Greyscalegorilla Hub

  • These scripts require the latest version of Greyscalegorilla Hub to install and run properly.

  • Open Greyscalegorilla Hub and check for updates before proceeding.

Installing the Scripts

  1. Open Greyscalegorilla Hub

    • In Cinema 4D (2024 or later), go to Greyscalegorilla > Hub in the top menu.

  2. Navigate to the Plugins Tab

    • In Greyscalegorilla Hub, click on the Plugins tab.

  3. Install the Scripts

    • Locate and install the Camera Scripts, Layer Scripts, Lighting Scripts, and Utility Scripts.

  4. Restart Cinema 4D

    • Once the installation is complete, restart Cinema 4D to ensure the scripts load properly.

2. Access the Scripts

After restarting, navigate to Extensions > User Scripts, where you'll find the scripts organized into four categories:

  • GSG Camera Scripts

  • GSG Layer Scripts

  • GSG Light Scripts

  • GSG Utility Scripts

Each category contains multiple scripts designed to speed up your Cinema 4D workflow.

3. Dock Scripts for Easy Access

To keep the scripts handy in your Cinema 4D layout, you can dock them in the UI:

  1. Open the Scripts Menu:

    • Go to Extensions > User Scripts and locate the script category you want to dock.

  2. Create a Button in the Interface:

    • Click and drag the script name from the menu to any Cinema 4D toolbar (such as the top or side panel).

    • Release it, and Cinema 4D will create a shortcut button for that script.

  3. Save Your Layout (Optional but Recommended):

    • Go to Window > Customization > Save as Startup Layout to keep the scripts docked every time you open Cinema 4D.

Thatโ€™s it! Your Camera, Layer, Light, and Utility Scripts are installed, docked, and ready to speed up your Cinema 4D workflow. ๐Ÿš€
