Cinema 4D Color Palettes Installation Guides

Color Palettes C4D 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026

  1. Download Color Palettes from our Plus Resources page.

  2. Once you have downloaded the .zip file, extract the Greyscalegorilla_Color_Presets_DB to it's own folder.

  3. Put that folder somewhere you can easily find it, we recommend putting it in your user/Documents/ folder.

  4. Then go to Asset Browser > Databases menu and select Connect Database > and browse for that folder.


  5. Success! The color presets will be added to the asset browser content.

Color Palettes for R25 & S26

  1. Download Color Palettes from our Plus Labs page.

  2. Unzip the Greyscalegorilla_Color_Presets_DB to its own folder.

  1. Put that folder somewhere you can easily find it; we recommend putting it in your User/Documents/ folder.

  2. In Cinema 4D, go to Edit > Preferences and in the Asset Browser section, add the path to that folder.

5. Success! You can now find the color presets in the Asset Browser:

Download Color Palettes from our Plus Labs page.

Windows Installation:

  1. Find your “Program Files/MAXON/CINEMA 4D/library/browser/“ Folder.

  2. If there is no "browser" folder, create one.

  3. Copy the lib4d into the browser folder.

  4. Restart Cinema 4D.

Windows Render Farm / Team Render Installation:

  1. Find your “Program Files/MAXON/Team Render Client/library/browser/“ Folder.

  2. If there is no "browser" folder, create one.

  3. Copy the lib4d into the browser folder.

  4. Restart Cinema 4D.

macOS Installation:

  1. Find your "Applications/Maxon Cinema 4D" Folder.

  2. If there is no "browser" folder, create one.

  3. Copy the lib4d into the browser folder.

  4. Restart Cinema 4D.

macOS Render Farm / Team Render Installation:

  1. Find your "Applications/Maxon Cinema 4D" Folder.

  2. If there is no "browser" folder, create one.

  3. Copy the lib4d into the browser folder.

  4. Restart Cinema 4D.
